Teaching through Technology
Fab Learning Academy (FLA) is a Global Certification program for educators using digital fabrication technologies in K-12 settings. Formal and informal educators, pre-service teachers, and administrators are invited to participate in this distributed education program. This curriculum focuses on three domains to support educators in school: makerspace technology, innovative practices, and the science of learning. Visit the FLA website to learn more about this innovative program and its credentialing potential.
North American Education Hub
eduFAB is proud to be recognized as the North American Education Hub for the FAB Learning Academy. If you have a fab lab or other digital makerspace and you want to join the cohort of local learning nodes in the US, Canada, or Mexico, please sign up for an informational 1:1 meeting using the link below.
Local Learning Nodes offer this global program to K-12 educators in their area and must have open access to the tools and technologies used in FLA as well as have an experienced staff member to lead educators in the use of technologies. For in-service educators who are working with digital fabrication tools and technologies already, eduFAB is offering a virtual cohort to participate in this international certification program. Contact Liz Whitewolf to learn more about how you can participate from your own school's Fab Lab or digital makerspace.
The next cohort begins September 23, 2024 and runs through March 16, 2025.
